Linda Cartier is a Certified and Registered Financial Planner (CFP) and (R.F.P.), and a Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist with the Advanced Accreditation (CFDS-AA). She also has the Professional Retirement Planner (PRP) and Enhanced Lifestyle Planner (ELP) designations.
She belongs to the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, locally, the Sudbury Collaborative Practice Group, FP Canada, FPAC and the IAFP - Institute of Advanced Financial Planners.
Linda operates the Academy of Financial Divorce Specialists, responsible for training financial professionals across Canada for the Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS®) designation.
Linda has taught the complete courses to achieve the Certified Financial Planner training program at Cambrian College, the local community college and helped institute a financial planning program at Laurentian University. She has presented for the IACP, OACP, FDRIO, IAFP, CPA Ontario, CE-Credits, BPW Canada, United Steelworkers of America and a few financial organizations.
As an author, Linda has written a monthly column in the local newspaper, hosted two TV series on financial topics and Divorce 101. She was selected as Woman of the Year in 1998 by the local Business and Professional Women’s Club. As well, Linda was voted National Financial Planner of the Year in 2000 by the Canadian Association of Financial Planners
Besides assisting clients and other professionals in the financial realm, she is an active community member as a lifelong volunteer serving on local boards in her community.
