I help Canadians make confident decisions across the four pillars that matter most over a lifetime: Tax, Investments, Estate Planning, and Retirement Planning.

I’m a Founding Partner & Senior Wealth Advisor at TIER Wealth (Calgary). Our firm was built for clients who want a truly integrated relationship for themselves AND their family—where the plan, the implementation, and the ongoing execution all live under one roof. That includes comprehensive financial planning, investment management, proactive tax planning and tax preparation, insurance/risk management, retirement income strategy, estate planning, and philanthropic planning.

A line I heard early in my career still guides how I work: good financial planning doesn’t scale—and that’s why it’s great. My approach is deliberately personalized, detail-driven, and designed to be practical in the real world, not just elegant on paper.

Credentials matter in our profession, and I’ve invested heavily in mine. I hold the CFP®, the R.F.P., and the TEP designation, reflecting specialized expertise in comprehensive financial planning, trusts, estates, and legacy planning. I also have extensive experience preparing personal income tax returns for high-net-worth Canadians—work that keeps planning grounded in what actually gets filed.

I regularly contribute to financial commentary. My insights have been featured in outlets including The Financial Post, The Globe and Mail, Investment Executive, Advisor.ca, MoneySense, and Morningstar, and I’ve appeared as a guest on leading Canadian finance podcasts, including 'The Wealthy Barber' and 'Financial Planning For Canadian Business Owners Podcast.' I have given presentations to industry peers at the IAFP Annual Symposium, FP Canada's Financial Planning Conference, and on multiple occasions to the membership body of the Financial Planning Association of Canada.

I also serve as President of the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners (IAFP). During my presidency, the IAFP has strengthened member expectations around professionalism and transparency, including the introduction of a mandatory fiduciary attestation and enhanced fee/compensation disclosure requirements.

I’m always open to connecting with professionals who care about doing this work properly—and to conversations with clients who value an integrated, high-rigour approach to wealth.

On a personal note, my wife and I have twin daughters who keep us happy and busy.
