Certified financial planners provide various advice but may not always be your best resource if credit is your main issue. In this case, we recommend speaking to a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT). A LIT, formerly known as a Bankruptcy Trustee, is licensed by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB) to administer proposals and bankruptcies in Canada. There is no cost to speak to a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.
